Titanium pins and framework - COLOUR TESTING

Flame treated titanium sheet is taken through the colour spectrum with flame.

Annodizing is an option as more robust pigmentation and more accuracy with tone and colour but avoiding for now due to harsh chemicals used.

Intense blues and purples but colour is not secure for items being worn or rubbed. More appropriate for brooches UNLESS there is a way to seal or protect it through clever form - via the glass / lens covering.

  • SCRATCH BACK COLOUR & REHEAT FOR COLOUR LAYERING & DEPTH

  • SAND / FILE BACK FOR MORE SUBTLE COLLOUR DIFFERENCES

  • EMBOSS (THROUGH ROLLING MILL) TO ACCENTUATE IRRIDESCENCE THROUGH LIGHT INTERACTION & CAST SHADOWS.
